King Nathaneil Griffith Lerotholi - Paramount Chief. Born Fako in 1871 at Likhoele, Mafeteng district. He was named after Colonel C. D. Griffith, the governors agent in Basutoland at the time of his birth. His father, Chief Lerotholi, placed him to reign in 1897 at Phamong in the district of Mohale’s Hoek, over the Baphuthi clan who refused to acknowledge his authority for a number of years. He assumed title of Paramount Chief in 1913 after his brother’s death, who was without heir. He ruled until 1939.

Gabasheane Masupha(regent) - Paramount chief Gabasheane was born on the 26th December 1903 and left the world on January 1941.His spouse is the late ‘Mamathe Masupha

King Moshoeshoe II - Paramount Chief and King. Moshoeshoe II was born Bereng Constantine Seeiso on May 2, 1938 at Thabang in the Mokhotlong district. He was the son of Mofumahali Sekhothali ‘Mabereng Seeiso Griffith in the second house of Chief Seeiso Griffith. He married Tabitha ‘Masentle Mojela of Tebang, Mafeteng district on August 23 1962. They are blessed with three children, Prince Mohato Bereng Seeiso, Prince Seeiso Bereng Seeiso and Princess ‘Maseeiso Seeiso (December 24 1969 - September 7 1994 as she met her untimely death).

He was sworn in as Paramount Chief on March 12 1960. King Moshoeshoe II was exiled by the then military regime. His son Prince (Prince at the time) Mohato Bereng Seeiso was installed as King.

He was allowed to come back from exile in 1991 when the first leader of the regime, Major General Metsing Lekhanya was over-thrown by the second officer-in-command at the time, Major General Elias Phisoane Ramaema. He was reinstated as King on January 25, 1995 with help of his son Mohato. However, he died a year later on January 15, 1996 in a car accident.
